Jehanabad Police, Bihar PoliceThe district of Jehanabad is one of the thirty-eight districts of the state of Bihar, and the city of Jehanabad is the administrative headquarters of this district.
Jehanabad district is a part of Magadh Division.
The district is 45 km from Patna, the capital of Bihar and 43 km from Gaya.
The district has a sub-division and seven blocks.
The blocks are Jehanabad, Makhdumpur, Kako, Ghoshi, Modanganj, Hulasganj and Ratni.
Modaganj, Hulasganj and Ratni blocks have recently been constructed in the district.
Apart from the district police headquarters, the district has 13 reserved police stations.Several initiatives have been taken by the state government to curb Naxal violence in Jehanabad district which has been in the news for Naxal violence for more than two decades.
But the recent initiatives of the Asadwar project in Jehanabad have reduced the Naxal base to a greater level.
The Police Department of Jehanabad is also actively monitoring all government schemes and projects.
At present the scheme is running in five Naxalite affected panchayats of the district.
All these are in Secunderabad, Siwan, Mandebeigha, Tunnelpurbhavanchak and Jamuk, all in Jehanabad Sadar block.
Villages under these five panchayats are witnessing development activities on a war footing.
